People Are Likening Melania’s Jaw-Dropping Gown to a Disney Princess’ — But Not in a Good Way

First lady Melania Trump did it again — her latest gown was absolutely stunning and caught a flurry of social media attention this week.

In what resembled a fairy tale, Melania and her husband, President Donald Trump, walked up the steps of Blenheim Palace to attend a dinner with Prime Minister Theresa May and her husband, Philip May:

While attending, Melania donned a yellow, floor-length, silk gown from J. Mendel. The gown contained a cape which beckoned back to a majestic attire often seen on Disney princesses.

While Melania reportedly wore the dress in a nod to Queen Elizabeth II, some thought she resembled a different kind of royalty:

Some suggested Melania’s dress was a subtle hint that Donald Trump was the Beast and she was Belle from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”:

This wasn’t the first instance of speculation of Melania trying to send a special message with her attire. After traveling to visit migrant children, she got a load of criticism for the jacket she wore.

Some in the media decried Melania’s jacket — which read “’I really don’t care, do you?’” — as a subtle way of showing her apathy toward family separations at the border, something her office denied:

But while the haters continued hating, Melania kept celebrating — elegant gown and all.
