Pro-Second Amendment Parkland Survivor Slams Time Magazine for Only Featuring One Side of Argument

Kyle Kashuv, a junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who survived the tragic shooting in which 17 innocent people lost their lives, was not among those featured on Time magazine’s latest cover.

Kashuv has publicly supported the Second Amendment despite his classmates claiming that the NRA and those who support it have “blood on their hands.” Kashuv has even called out David Hogg, one of his classmates, for hanging up on the White House, saying it was “so hypocritical”:

“David Hogg was like, ‘We have to make a change. Let’s make this happen.’ And then the White House calls you and was like, ‘Let’s do it. I totally agree. Let’s make a change.’

And then you hang up on him? And then you brag about it on national television? It’s extremely counterproductive.”

On Friday, Kashuv appeared on Fox News and explained his stance on the March for Our Lives event.

“In the march itself, the march’s website, they listed how they want to ban AR-15s, and I don’t agree with that,” he said. “[…] The issue isn’t law-abiding citizens having a weapon. It’s the agencies not … [making] sure that people who are criminals shouldn’t be able to acquire a weapon.”

Kashuv said he doesn’t “fall into the category of gun control,” which is likely why he was not included on the Time magazine cover, which featured his classmates who are pushing for gun reform.

Kashuv walked in the March for Our Lives event, asking questions of those protesting. However, he explained that so far, he hasn’t gotten many answers:
