Donald Trump denies racism allegations, says he is ‘least racist person’

From the day he rode down a golden escalator and announced that he was running to become President of the United States, President Donald Trump has been attacked with allegations that he is a racist.

Trump, who managed to live his entire adult life in the public eye devoid of such accusations until he decided to take on establishment politicians, called himself the “least racist person you will ever interview” when he spoke to reporters this weekend.

All About The S**tholes.

The recent hubbub started on Thursday during a bipartisan immigration meeting at the White House, The Washington Times reported.

According to Democrat Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the president used a derogatory and vulgar comment to describe Haiti and African nations.

“Why are we having all these people from s**thole countries come here?” the president said, according to Sen. Durbin, before asking why America does not import more immigrants from nations like Norway.

Is It A Lie?

After Sen. Durbin asserted that the president made the comment, Sens. Tom Cotton and David Perdue issued a joint statement in which they said they had no recollection of the president saying those words.

“We do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest,” they said in a joint statement issued on Friday, according to the New York Post.

And on Sunday Sen. Tom Cotton cast more doubt on Sen. Durbin’s assertion.

“I didn’t hear that word either, I certainly didn’t hear what Senator Durbin has said repeatedly,” he told “CBS This Morning” host John Dickerson. “Senator Durbin has a history of misrepresenting what happens in White House meetings, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by that.”

President Trump Denies Charges Of Racism.

Confronted by reporters as he met with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy at his West Palm beach golf club on Sunday, the president vehemently denied charges of racism.

“I’m not a racist. I’m the least racist person you will ever interview,” he said.

One reason the Democrats could be pushing the idea that the president is racist, is their unwillingness to strike a deal with Republicans in regards to DACA.

Speaking to those same reporters the president cast doubt on a deal being reached.

“Honestly, I don’t think the Democrats want to make a deal,” he said adding that “there are a lot of sticking points.”

And what better way to hide their own shortcomings than for Democrats to distract the nation by calling the president a racist?
