BREAKING: Trump Releases Statement Right Before Super Bowl

President Trump released a statement regarding disrespectful NFL “kneelers” just before the Super Bowl.

Our America First President urged players to respect the military, anthem, and police, by STANDING for the National Anthem.

From IJR

President Donald Trump sparked controversy months ago when he suggested NFL owners should fire players who kneel during the national anthem. Following his comments, many NFL players knelt during the anthem in retaliation.

Trump has remained critical of the protests since then, and NFL ratings have plummeted as fans have boycotted. Vice President Mike Pence even walked out of an Indianapolis Colts game after players protested during the national anthem.

Now, with football season coming to an end, Trump has broken a tradition by refusing to do an interview before the Super Bowl, which could be because of his feud with NBC News.

Instead, Trump has released a statement thanking the “brave men and women of our Armed Forces” for freedom as “we proudly stand for the National Anthem.”
