Japan Tells Citizens to Seek Cover, North Korea Has Launched a Missile

Japan’s government on Tuesday issued an emergency broadcast telling its people to seek shelter because North Korea had launched a missile their way.

Turns out it was a false alarm, similar to what happened in Hawaii a couple days earlier.

The alert from Japan’s national public broadcasting organization, NHK, stated:

“North Korea appears to have launched a missile. The government urges people to take shelter inside buildings or underground.”

In Hawaii earlier this week, the false alarm went out only to cellphones.

But, in Japan, the J-alert system broadcasts over televisions, to mobile phones, on the radio and over loudspeakers.

In other words, EVERYONE got the message, leading to a brief period of panic.

And, understandably so. North Korea has to date launched several of its ballistic missile over Japan in a series of very clear warnings that America’s top Asian ally will be the first target if President Trump continues to interfere with Pyongyang’s nuclear program.
